Engine developer EcoMotors has broken months of silence with an onslaught of announcements in the past few weeks. In March alone it announced a new joint venture with First Auto Works Jingye Engine Company (FAW JY), acquired a Michigan engine specialist Katech and formed an R&D centre with Hunan University. Automotive World spoke to EcoMotors President and Chief Operating Officer Amit Soman about this seemingly sudden burst of activity and how it impacts commercialisation efforts of the company’s opoc engine technology.
