COMMENT: MIAS – Fiddling while Russia burns?

The Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) is opening its doors this week, with the focus this year on safety. From 29 August through 7 September, numerous global and local vehicle manufacturers will use the event as a platform to display their latest models and technology, with much attention on connectivity, emissions and all aspects of safety. While these trends are among the global industry drivers today, there are much bigger issues at play in Russia just now.
