China HCVs set for revival, not runaway growth

Last year's 27% plunge in sales should prove 'a blip' as the industry looks positioned to resume growth this year and next, writes Megan Lampinen

The time of runaway growth may be over for China's commercial vehicle (CV) industry, but there's still plenty of potential left to tap. Jonathan Storey, author of the Automotive World report China's new vehicle market: Prospects to 2020, expects to see some revival in the segment this year following recent lows.

Speaking in a webinar on the report, he touched on the moderating momentum across China's segments, noting: "China may be slowing but if you are a company with global aspirations, what's the alternative?"
