Calendar quirk slows US sales, but momentum still strong

Fewer selling day slow June sales growth, but Chrysler and Nissan power ahead.

US light vehicle sales came in ahead of forecasts and rose 1.2% year-on-year in June, avoiding the decline expected by some analysts. June had just 24 selling days, compared with 26 in the same month last year.
