Tesla's overall volumes may be modest compared to today's mainstream OEMs, but its ambitions are anything but. The OEM has confirmed that it expects to be rolling out half a million cars a year by 2020, now just five years away. Last year it produced a mere 35,000 units. Speaking to analysts following the publication of its second quarter results, company Chief Executive Elon Musk explained some of the reasons behind his confidence.
