Battery suppliers bolster capacity in preparation for e-bus boom

The commercial vehicle (CV) segment is slowly but surely shifting towards electric propulsion. For battery suppliers, this could mean a scramble to meet increased demand. German e-mobility specialist Akasol has just opened the largest battery plant in Europe for hybrid and electric CVs, boasting capacity of 600 MWh. It marks a tremendous jump in capacity not just for the company but also for the industry.
