Japan: Weak start dampens Toyota 2011 results

Toyota Group’s global production showed continued growth in December, but a weak start to the year left full-year results down 8.2%. Global output across Toyota, Daihatsu and Hino in December alone rose 13.1% to 757,226 units. Growth was recorded across all three, with the strongest, 34.6%, seen at Hino (13,272 units).
