Audi's wholly-owned importer in Japan, Audi Japan K.K., said on 2 August that it will launch its first gasoline-electric hybrid cars in Japan in 2012, according to Japan Today.
The report says that Audi plans to introduce three hybrid vehicles in 2012. One of these will be the Audi Q5. A
