China: Government considers microhybrid mandate

The Chinese government is reportedly considering a new requirement that all passenger cars be equipped with belt-driven starter generator (BSG) systems, according to a report in the Global Times newspaper, citing general manager of Chery New Energy Company, Yuan Tao.
