Israel: Fourth-quarter sales nearly double

Vehicle sales in Israel nearly doubled year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2009, according to preliminary figures gathered by local publication Globes. Around 49,000 vehicles were sold in the October-December quarter, with 17,000 units in December alone. For the year as a whole, vehicle deliveries are estimated at 174,000 units.
