Inrix, a global provider of traffic information and driver services, has announced its collaboration with BMW, Volkswagen and leading transportation agencies for the release of its Inrix XD Traffic, a new service that the electronics company says covers more roads with greater precision than any other competitor.

The “XD” stands for “extreme definition" and Inrix boasts that it provides far more accurate traffic routing information, therefore saving time, money and CO2 emissions, as well as providing far broader coverage of traffic data.
