Fresh products propel Europe’s top players in H1

New model launches, combined with a weakening euro and solid economic growth, are bolstering sales for many brands in Europe

New car sales across most of Europe's markets ended the first half with solid growth. JATO Dynamics puts the January-June sales growth at 8.4%, with 25 of 29 countries recording year-on-year improvements. The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) puts the growth in sales across the European Union at 8.2% to 7,169,984 units for the first six months.
