Dirty diesel-powered transport refrigerators cost the EU €22bn

Dearman believes that the EU is spending billions of euros as a result of dirty diesel-powered transport refrigeration units

New research by Dearman – a UK-based developer of clean cold technology – suggests that the one million diesel engines used to power transport refrigeration units (TRUs) in delivery trucks across Europe will emit 13 million tonnes of CO2, 40,000 tonnes of nitrogen oxide (NOx), and 5,000 tonnes of particulate matter in 2015 alone.
