Suzuki moves to recapture dominant position in India

In addition to building a new motorcycle plant, Suzuki also plans to double domestic car production to four million units per year. By Stewart Burnett

Suzuki is taking steps to reclaim its dominance in the Indian automotive market by expanding production of both motorcycles and cars. To this end, the Japanese automaker has begun construction of a new motorcycle plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, and plans to double its domestic car production to four million units annually by 2030.
