Roadworks, collisions, rogue pedestrians and inconsiderate drivers are all obstacles on the path to full autonomy. But confidence is now growing in the industry that smart infrastructure for vehicles will be a strong enabler for autonomous city-centre driving, as well as the data-heavy connected services which will accompany it.
