GM to fight potential US$870m costs in Takata saga

While GM is contesting a recall, other OEMs continue to call back vehicles affected by potentially dangerous airbag inflators. By Freddie Holmes

Issues stemming from defective Takata airbag inflators are still on the cards, with GM reporting that it could be required to expand its recall by an additional 4.3 million vehicles at a cost of US$550m.
