Facilities belonging to six automotive companies have been stormed by the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt), following allegations of steel price fixing.
The details are sparse, but BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen have all confirmed that raids took place at certain plants on 23 June 2016. The two largest Tier 1 automotive suppliers – Robert Bosch and ZF – have also been raided as part of the same investigation.
