The US light vehicle market has been powering ahead this month and some analysts are expecting a 16-year high. Kelley Blue Book is projecting a 9% year-over-year rise to 1.37 million vehicles, with an estimated 17.9 million seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR). This would put it just behind the 1.5 million units recorded in February 2000. Meanwhile, J.D. Power and LMC Automotive along with Edmunds.com are forecasting a 17.7 million SAAR.
