Not just VW under scrutiny at Congressional hearing

The focus of the proceedings is to understand the circumstances surrounding the reported violations of the Clean Air Act and what they mean for consumers and the general public

Volkswagen of America President and Chief Executive Michael Horn has been called to testify before Congress on 8 October regarding the company's alleged use of a defeat device in emissions testing for certain diesel engine passenger cars. Alongside Horn, Christopher Grundler, Director of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality, Office of Air and Radiation, and Phillip Brooks, Director of the Air Enforcement Division, Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will also testify before the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation.
