In March 2014, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, launched a €50m (US$54.43m) project, a plant for the production of Mercedes-Benz and BharatBenz buses, in Oragadam near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Now, just over a year later, the company has inaugurated this bus manufacturing facility.
