Automotive demand continues to drive the fabricated metal products market

Stamping, forging and casting are all metal forming processes vital to the production of many manufactured parts and finished goods across all industries. They are also processes upon which the automotive industry is currently totally reliant, and will be for as long as metal of any form remains the industry’s main material of choice.

A new report on metal stamping, forging and casting markets predicts that the projected increase in automotive manufacturing will drive growth in these segments. Increases in the production of vehicles and automotive components will, the report states, push the global market for metal stampings, forgings and castings up to US$472.2bn by 2020.
