GEFCO UK has appointed Charlie Weale as its new Sales and Marketing Director as it looks to drive growth across its service offering and build brand visibility within new and existing sectors and markets.
Charlie will have responsibility for sales, marketing and communications in the UK, and is charged with leading the development of sales and promotional strategies to support the company’s wider business objectives.
As well as building on the GEFCO Group’s core strengths as a market leader in the design, implementation and operation of integrated supply chain solutions, Charlie’s focus will be on increasing visibility and generating commercial opportunities in areas such as air, ocean and international logistics.
Charlie has more than 30 years of transport and logistics experience, having previously worked in senior operational and sales roles for companies including Geodis and Norbert Dentressangle.
Charlie will replace former Sales and Marketing Director John Stocker, who was recently appointed as GEFCO UK’s Finished Vehicle Logistics Director.
