The”430″ module, the world’s first silica gel double-glass photovoltaicmodule to be certified by TÜV Rheinland in Shanghai SNEC Expo, is adouble-glass module product developed and launched recently by BYD. The module usesDow Corning’s liquid silicone rubber as battery package material. “430” is anew standard set for all of BYD’s new solar offerings. The “4” represents that theproducts are estimated to work for 40 years. The “3” means that the averageannual power attenuation is as low as 0.3%. The “0” denotes PID free leaving nosnail tracks. This platform that BYD Photovoltaic will now stand upon,represents the durability, efficiency and reliability of their moduleofferings. The new double-glass modules surpass all standards for 1500 Voltsystems, and will reduce system depletion as well as guarantee higher yieldsfor large scale photovoltaic power stations.

The other product unveiled in BYD`s debut is the BYD DESS in modular 19” design. While keeping its superior 5-connection-philosophy it comes now all in one rack. This not only allows easy installation and maintenance, it is also top-in-class in terms of system safety. By fulfilling all relevant battery certificates for automobile use and avoiding failures in transportation and installation it provides a maximum of safety for installers and end-customers. It uses BYD self-developed Fe-battery with very long cycle life, intelligent battery management system and advanced converter technology. The status can be monitored on an integrated 7”-touch-screen or via online monitoring. Being able to work either grid-connected or stand-alone in a real 3-phase mode, BYD DESS is aimed to provide clean, reliable and continued power for residential and commercial consumers.
