VW’s big dreams for hybrids in China

VW recently detailed plans of launching a significant number of hybrids in the Chinese market

The Volkswagen Group first ventured into China more than 30 years ago, and has delivered over 20 million cars to the Chinese market since. Consequently, the company holds the highest market share to date in the passenger vehicle segment, and has attributed strong sales in part to continued economic development and increasing household income. The German OEM is now looking towards the hybrid segment to further its success in the ever-growing Chinese market.
