Opel’s Eisenach facility to add third shift later this year

The Eisenach manufacturing plant, which produces Opel's Corsa and Adam models, will get an additional shift starting mid-2015, creating 400 new jobs

General Motors' Opel unit produced a total of 365,430 vehicles last year for the Opel/Vauxhall brands across its three manufacturing facilities in Germany. Output in the country was up compared with 360,590 vehicles produced at the plants in Rüsselsheim, Eisenach and Bochum in 2013. The Rüsselsheim produced the bulk of group's vehicles in Germany last year.
