A move towards tighter standards on mobile air conditioning coolants by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is good news for Honeywell and DuPont, suppliers of the eco-friendly HFO-1234yf. A new proposal from the EPA would prevent the use of certain hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) and blends containing HFC in various applications, including vehicles.
