Carlos Ghosn tells Automotive World how the Kwid will help in Renault’s quest for a 5% share of an Indian market that he expects to grow 6% annually over the next five years

Carlos Ghosn is keen to crack the highly-competitive Indian car market, but has so far enjoyed only limited success. One of the most high-profile Chief Executives of the global automotive industry, Ghosn’s attempts to crack India have resulted in significant investments in a local factory in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. But other than Renault’s Duster SUV, which redefined the ‘soft-roader’ segment, success has been lukewarm.
