Delegates benefitted from presentations on the state of the UK economy with a logistics focus and the European production outlook from SMMT and AutoAnalysis.
Presentations were also given on skills retention from the sector skills council, Skills for Logistics, and the Modal Shift Centre from the Freight Transport Association.
Other topics of discussion included cabotage, road lorry user charging, HGV speed limits, CO2 reporting and management, new technology and supply chain risk management.
The UK Logistics Forum meets four times a year and receives regular policy and logistics project updates. The group is particularly keen to expand its existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 representation.
