Suramya Naik, Chief Engineer and Business Development Manager, India, Achates Power, has been confirmed as a speaker at Automotive Megatrends India 2015.
Suramya Naik joined Achates Power in 2010. As chief engineer, he is responsible for the technical deliverables and quality and timeliness of the work done for customer programs on the company’s opposed-piston, two-stroke engine.
He also serves as business development manager for India, working alongside organizations to design the powertrain for their specific applications.
Prior to joining the company, Naik worked at AVL Powertrain Engineering, most recently as a senior project engineer. In that role, he led the team that performed one-dimensional thermodynamic engine simulations. He also supervised the on-time and successful completion of customer projects. As a project engineer at the same company, Naik simulated and analyzed engine design using one- and three-dimensional CFD simulation software.
Earlier in his career, Naik was a data analysis and software application engineer at AVL North America.
