The Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG has extended the contract of Dr. Donatus Kaufmann (53), member of the Executive Board responsible for Legal and Compliance, by five years to January 31, 2022. Dr. Kaufmann has been a member of the Executive Board since February 2014 and is also responsible for the regions North America and Western Europe.
“The extension of Dr. Kaufmann’s contract is a clear signal that compliance continues to be a top priority at thyssenkrupp,” says Professor Dr. Ulrich Lehner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. For thyssenkrupp compliance is a central element of good corporate governance and means more than abiding by the law and internal policies. Compliance is a question of mindset: Reliability, honesty, credibility and integrity are part of thyssenkrupp’s values. Infringements, in particular violations of antitrust law and corruption, are met with a “zero tolerance” policy.
