In May, the medium-sized automotive supplier peiker acustic GmbH & Co. KG established a trading company in China to supply the Chinese market with its products. After all, the Chinese automotive market is seeing astronomical growth rates and has become the largest in the world. Indeed, peiker is in a position to benefit in considerable measure from the surge currently being experienced in the Chinese economy. In fact, the company has already brought in the first Chinese OEM as a customer.
China has shown considerable drive and strength in providing its abilities, skyrocketing to the top of the global economy. “Our goal is to acquire Chinese OEMs as customers which should be taken quite seriously as business partners,” Kromer-von Baerle explains. In fact, starting this fall, peiker will supply the Chinese automaker Qoros with microphones for the first Qoros car model. Promising negotiations with other Chinese car manufacturers are underway.
