Celebrating the 100th anniversary of an order of black nuns, Whoopi Goldberg and ABC’s “The View” teamed up with Toyota today to present a new 2016 Toyota Sienna minivan to the 14 sisters from Harlem. Now that’s a reason to say “Whoopi!”

After reading their story, Toyota decided to give the nuns, from the Order of the Franciscan Handmaids of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, a vehicle to continue their incredible work. Toyota also is providing a year’s worth of free gasoline and filling the van with toys and food.

Founded in Georgia in 1916, The Franciscan Handmaids run a day nursery, food pantry and other charitable initiatives, along with giving comfort to the sick and dying across New York City. They are one of only three predominantly black orders in the country.
