Magna International Inc. is pleased to announce it has received the 2015 General Motors Supplier of the Year award for driveline, lighting and mirrors. The 24th annual awards were given during ceremonies on March 10, 2016, in Detroit, Michigan.

The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winning suppliers were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics executives and selected based on performance criteria in Product Purchasing, Indirect Purchasing, Customer Care and Aftersales, and Logistics.
“We are focused on building positive supplier relationships, bringing new, customer-centric innovations to GM, and being the OEM of choice among suppliers,” said Steve Kiefer, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “The companies we recognize tonight not only have brought innovation, they delivered it with the quality our customers deserve.”
Magna is General Motors’ largest supplier and supplies a wide variety of innovative products and systems to the global automaker. In the recognized areas of driveline, lighting and mirrors, Magna supplies GM with industry-leading 4WD systems which help improve performance and fuel efficiency, as well as its Trailer Tow outside mirror with first-to-market ReverseLight, which helps pickup-truck drivers stay safe while towing.
