Jaguar Land Rover today unveiled its all-new state of the art motor show stand to the world’s press in Geneva. Boasting a number of industry firsts, the 1500 square metre stand has been designed to reflect the core principles employed in the creation of the company’s vehicles and will welcome more than 700,000 visitors over the next two weeks.

Speaking from the stand, Phil Popham, Group Marketing Director said: “Our new motor show stand is a significant step forward in establishing a fresh, innovative and truly engaging experience for visitors.

“Beautifully designed, meticulously engineered and employing innovative technologies, this stand really does showcase the ambitions, values and vision of our company and iconic brands.”

Jaguar and Land Rover’s Design Director’s, Ian Callum and Gerry McGovern played a pivotal role in defining and delivering the bespoke aesthetic of this modular stand which sets new standards in customer engagement for the company.

From 40 interactive touchscreens providing a narrative for each brand to the introduction of 32 mobile scanning points, customers from around the world will be able access more information than ever before about the products and brands.

The stand also boasts engaging vehicle displays created by the award winning team behind the awe-inspiring Olympic Opening Ceremony in London. For Land Rover there is the Giant’s Causeway which uses 30 tonnes of water and no fewer than 48 hydraulic rams to create a truly immersive experience. For Jaguar there is an articulating turntable – which acts as a simulator – to demonstrate the dynamics and exhilaration that you feel when you get behind the wheel of a Jaguar.

The new Jaguar Land Rover stand not only reflects the company’s design credentials, it also echoes its leadership in the use of lightweight materials – 85% of the structure is made from aluminium and is built around a double-deck lightweight aluminium core, making it lighter and stronger. This has led to a 30% weight reduction, making it easier to transport and more carbon efficient. And the environmental benefits do not end there; Jaguar Land Rover has made significant steps to reduce energy consumption with the addition of 90,000 individually controllable LEDs which reduce power consumption from 20,000 watts down to just 3367 watts.
Innovation is also central to the stand design and is showcased with the debut of the highest-ever resolution LED tracking screen and a world first flooring system which uses 248,000 magnets negating the need for the use of any tools in its construction.

Mark Cameron, Jaguar Land Rover Brand Experience Director, whose team were responsible for delivering the stand said:”This new stand has been a year in the making, as we have worked meticulously to ensure every single detail delivered on the exacting brief. We are creating five kits which will reside in our key markets to service more than 100 international and regional motor shows, ensuring whereever we are in the world, the millions of visitors to our stand will have a consistently memorable experience”.
