- Hyundai Motor UK and Shell UK to provide vehicle health checks on selected forecourts ahead of Wales Rally GB
- Customers will be greeted by Hyundai’s WRC stars, including Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo
- Vehicle health checks to be carried out between 9th and 14th November
Throughout the week commencing Monday 9 November, Hyundai Motor UK and Shell UK will team up to offer Shell customers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to have their cars inspected by the official Hyundai Motorsport World Rally Championship (WRC) driver crews.
In the build up to Wales Rally GB, all four crews – Dani Sordo and Marc Martí, Hayden Paddon and John Kennard, Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul, and Kevin Abbring and Sebastian Marshall –will launch the week-long ‘Experience Hyundai’ initiative. The one-off event on selected Shell forecourts, near the Wales Rally GB site in North Wales, will give customers a free vehicle health check and fill their cars with fuel.
Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor UK, commented: “We are now in our second consecutive year supporting Wales Rally GB, and this year it’s fantastic to really get the drivers involved with motorists in North Wales. The WRC drivers are extremely skilled – it’s their responsibility to get the car back on the road should anything go wrong whilst on the stages – so Shell customers will be in excellent hands!”
In addition, selected Hyundai dealers in and around North Wales will also be involved in the vehicle health checks at their local Shell forecourts.
Following its success last year, Hyundai Motor UK will once again be the Official Car Partner of Wales Rally GB. As part of the collaboration, the company will provide over 40 cars for the duration of the event – including the All-New Tucson.
