Digital Leasing Services: Aiways signs strong partnership

The new partnership between Aiways, mobility solutions provider from Shanghai (CN), and Arval Germany forms a strong alliance for the expansion of the commercial customer and fleet business

Following its successful launch in Europe, Aiways has now set the stage for lowering the barriers to entry for private customers and increasing the commercial and fleet customer share of Aiways U5 SUV sales. A new cooperation offers digital and customized services, which will be provided by Arval and sales partner Euronics  from the third quarter. In addition to vehicle leasing, customers will also be able to book various maintenance and repair services, up to full-service leasing. The service will be launched as a cooperation in Germany, and similar solutions are currently being planned for other European markets.

Individual offers for every mobility need

In order to be able to tailor the right mobility solution for every need, Aiways has joined forces with Arval to start developing an intelligent IT infrastructure that every sales partner can access in real time. From inquiry to granting, the entire process runs digitally, ensuring fast response and processing times. In addition to the term of the contract, the mileage and service modules can also be customized to ensure that each offer is a perfect fit for the client’s mobility needs.

Planning reliability and cost transparency

In addition to a competitive offer, the new leasing program also ensures a high degree of planning security and full cost transparency by fixing the leasing rate and assuming the residual value risk. For many customers, the uncertainty factor “resale” has so far been a barrier to entry into electromobility. With the new strong partnership and the assumption of risk on the part of the lessor, Aiways and Arval Germany want to enable customers to make a simple and calculable switch to electromobility.

Leasing offer supports growing model range

Given the challenging environment, Dr. Alexander Klose, Executive Vice President of Overseas Operations at Aiways, is very pleased with the market ramp-up in Europe. “We are currently working at full speed to fill our orders. We have more than 10,000 orders for our European markets alone, which we plan to deliver before the end of the year. At the same time, pre-series production of our new Aiways U6, which will also be launched in 2022, is already underway. Particularly regarding our growing model range, a leasing offer is very important for our customers. In view of the fact that leasing accounts for a good 70 percent of total sales in the market, this offers us very good growth potential. We are therefore pleased to have Arval Deutschland as an established partner at our side.”

Christian Schüßler, Director Strategic Partnerships at Arval: “I am very pleased about the cooperation with Aiways. This is very much in line with Arval’s strategy of expanding its sales model through partnerships with vehicle manufacturers and developing sustainable mobility offerings. We see great potential for Aiways in the area of electric mobility.”
