Chris Nevers, Director of Climate and Fuel Economy for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, has been confirmedas a speaker in the Powertrain Innovation stream at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.
Since joining the Alliance in 2013, Chris has overseen the Alliance’s work on greenhouse gas and fuel economy policy, served as a technical expert, and directed third party research.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Chris spent six years in the EPA Office of Transportation and Air Quality where he helped develop regulations governing light and heavy-duty vehicle greenhouse gas emissions, the fuel economy labelling rule and the Tier 3 rule.
An active SAE member, Chris has served on SAE task groups whose technical documents are now incorporated by reference in EPA regulation and guidance, including coast down and dynamometer procedures, EV and PHEV test procedures, utility factor fuel economy weighting for PHEVs, and drive cycle energy metrics.
Before joining the Alliance, Chris worked for Chrysler as an OBD engine calibrator, an assembly plant Body-In-White engineer and team lead in emissions regulatory compliance, and in emissions and fuel economy testing.
