On October 14, 2016, in the selection of the “2016 Top 20 Chinese Enterprises with the Best Global Image”, directed by the State Council Information Office and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, organized by the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (CFLPA), Chery was ranked again for its 15 years of overseas market development and globalization layout, remaining the first in equipment manufacturing industry. The results were announced at the “Chinese Enterprise Global Image Summit 2016”.

As the third survey conducted by CFLPA on the global image of Chinese enterprises, it focused on the countries along “the Belt and Road”. The global image of Chinese enterprises was evaluated comprehensively based on their performance in four dimensions (responsibility, equity, trust and success), to show their overall global images in a more scientific and accurate manner. After 15 years of overseas development and accumulation, Chery has earned recognition and trust from numerous consumers in over 40 countries along “the Belt and Road”, and established KD plants up to global uniform production standards in Russia, Ukraine, Iran and Egypt.

In 2016, according to the national strategic plan of “the Belt and Road”, when Chery’s senior executives accompanied Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state visit to Iran, Chery signed an agreement with the Iranian side on expanding Iran Auto Industry Park, to further consolidate Chery’s position as the largest foreign automaker in Iran.

With operations in regions such as Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, Chery has exported products to over 80 countries and regions, established five companies, 10 manufacturing bases, as well as over 2,000 distribution and service networks abroad, and been China’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for 13 consecutive years. Since its first entry into the international market in 2001, Chery has earned support and trust from over 1.1 million overseas consumers. Chery has provided after-sales services wherever its products are sold, earning recognition and trust from overseas consumers. In the first half of 2016 alone, Chery achieved exports of 40,038 units, remaining as China’s largest passenger vehicle exporter.

In the global economic layout, “globalized” Chinese enterprises have played an important role in carrying Chinese image and disseminating Chinese culture to the world. Chery has positively responded to and strongly supported the establishment of China’s national image, extended its operations from China to overseas markets, optimized its international sales service network, and established overseas manufacturing bases, thus becoming a pacesetter in the globalization of China’s auto industry.
