Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) announced today that the company’s ECOPIA brand of tires are featured as standard equipment on the new fuel cell vehicle (FCV) from Honda Motor Company (Honda). The 2016 Honda Clarity with Ecopia EP160 tires from Bridgestone launched March in Japan.
Bridgestone Ecopia tires are engineered to offer safety and handling performance, while also delivering improved rolling resistance. Rolling resistance is friction or the force resisting a tire as it rolls across the road surface. With their improved rolling resistance, Bridgestone Ecopia tires will contribute to increasing the driving distance on one tank of hydrogen. In addition, ECOPIA realizes both riding comfort and a quiet performance at a high degree. In doing so, ECOPIA supports the high level of practicality that the CLARITY FUEL CELL requires.
