Bo started his powertrain career at Volvo Cars back in 1986 following his studies at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. He held several positions during his 14 years at Volvo Cars and his last years there as General Manager for all wheel drive system development.

In 2001 Bo joined the ZF Group as liaison for the Swedish business unit responsible for a number of transmission and steering gear launches. In 2003 he joined GM Powertrain as Chief Engineer and was responsible for development of all wheel drive systems, manual- and DCT transmissions. In 2010 Bo joined Kongsberg Automotive where he is global VP for R&D Driveline systems developing AT and MT shifter systems for the next generation cars, with a strong focus on Shifter-By-Wire technology. Bo manages a team of 160 engineers across the globe in 3 tech centers and located close to customers.
