After achieving its best year ever in Canada in 2015, Infiniti today announced the 2017 Infiniti Q60 sports coupe will make its national debut at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto, highlighting the direction Infiniti will take as it continues to expand its lineup. Infiniti will also display the 2016 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan, which is being launched with four advanced powertrain options and new chassis technologies.

The new Infiniti Q60 premium sports coupe combines expressive design with exhilarating performance and dynamics. Innovative drivetrain technologies deliver a powerful driving experience, bringing the Q60’s dynamic promise to life. The high performance 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine from the new and exclusive “VR” powertrain family continues the brand’s longstanding heritage of six-cylinder powertrains production. The “VR30” engine is available in two states of tune: 400 horsepower or 300 horsepower – both developed to provide an ideal mix of drivability, efficiency and performance. The Q60 maintains the distinctive lines and sharp angles of the original concept, first revealed in Canada at the CIAS last year.

Also on display will be the 2016 Infiniti Q50, which is being launched with four new advanced powertrain options, including the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine with 400 and 300 horsepower options. Also offered is a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 208 horsepower, and a 360-horsepower hybrid powertrain, which combines a 3.5-litre V6 and a compact laminated lithium-ion battery with an innovative one-motor, two-clutch control.

“After a record sales year in 2015, the new Q60 and Q50 represent the next evolution of the Infiniti brand, heralding a new era of engineering and design artistry,” said Stephen Lester, managing director of Infiniti Canada. “With the Q50 at the heart of the line-up and the Q60 offering a powerful elegance that’s unmistakably Infiniti, the future of luxury driving will be on display at the Canadian International Auto Show.”
