The presence of four of the world's top five automotive groups at CES 2016 in Las Vegas (with the fifth, Renault-Nissan, staging its own off-site event in California) says everything about the importance OEMs now place on infotainment, connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Arguably, these topics are as big as emissions and powertrains, and command billions of dollars, euros, yen and won in R&D investment.
