US recovery – from depths of recession to all-time record in 6 years

The US light vehicle market is ending 2015 with a bang as December sales look set to mark a new record. J.D. Power and LMC Automotive are predicting December sales will reach 1,712,200 units, up 6% on a selling-day adjusted basis. This would mark the highest for any month of the year since July 2005, when the market came in at 1.80 million units.
