Back to school for truck dealers

Automotive World speaks to Allen Phibbs, NADA-ATD Academy Director, on the key to retail success in the US truck market

Automotive retailers face a number of challenges in today's changing market, as relationships with their OEMs and their buyers evolve and demands shift. To help them in successfully managing these challenges, the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) offers classes for both passenger car and commercial vehicle (CV) dealers in the US, though the programmes are run separately to reflect the differences in the passenger and commercial segments. Phibbs spoke to Automotive World on how the curriculum, which ranges from financial management to service and business leadership, is structured to address the most challenges issues facing dealers today.
