Toyota is expanding its ‘Area 35’ efficiency drive to 18 factories worldwide, cutting unused or duplicate components to free up space and boost output. The initiative, first launched in 2023, aims to reduce factory floor usage by 35% and has already cut parts line-ups by as much as 80% in some plants.
