Switching India’s Garden City to EVs means playing the long game

Inconsistent power supply in Bengaluru means that convincing customers to go electric hinges more on extending EV range than on public charging opportunities. By Jack Hunsley

The automotive industry today stands on the brink of affordable electric mobility. While Tesla has long touted its electric ambitions, the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) from players such as PSA, VW and Jaguar has shown that electrification has gone mainstream. However, while EV development is thriving, this does not mean it is a realistic prospect for every location.
