JLR all but confirmed its European expansion plans in August 2015 when it signed a letter of intent with the Slovakian government. Four months later, the OEM has formally announced the construction of its third facility outside of the UK. The site is based in the city of Nitra, Western Slovakia, one hour from the capital Bratislava.
