ThyssenKrupp has announced the construction of a sixth plant in Mexico. The facility, located in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato state, will produce engine components such as cylinder head covers with integrated camshafts. €45m (US$51m) will be invested in the site. Dr Karsten Kroos, Chief Executive of Components Technology at ThyssenKrupp, also announced the group had earmarked around €250m for investment for future Mexican projects.
