As new cars are expected to drive themselves and connect to traffic, consumer devices and even buildings, the demand for technologies that allow the car to ‘sense’ its way through the immediate environment is increasing. Advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) utilize a range of camera-, infrared- and radar-based sensors that allow the car to accurately take control of individual driving situations. As a result, suppliers of these sensors are realising rapid growth.
