Royal Dutch Shell has been increasing its investment in liquefied natural gas (LNG) with the launch of three fuelling stations in the Netherlands. Located on a busy trucking route in Rotterdam, the first began operation back in March 2015. Speaking at the opening event, Giorgio Delpiano, General Manager Commercial Fleet, Shell, said that the company would “drive the development” of an LNG fuelling station network across the country.
Subsequently, stations in Waalwijk and Amsterdam quickly followed the launch of the first station. Discussing the future of the fuel in the company’s strategy, Lauran Wetemans, Shell’s General Manager of Downstream LNG, describes what to expect next.
